Brit J Cancer:钙、镁摄入与食管癌风险的关系

在对NIH-AARP饮食和健康研究的前瞻性队列进行回顾性分析的基础上,饮食中钙和镁摄入量与食道癌发生的风险密切相关。如果经过验证,这些发现可以指导高危人群的饮食改变。

食道癌是全球癌症相关死亡率和发病率的主要原因,通过饮食调整的风险降低是预防食道癌的一种附加策略。近日,肿瘤领域权威杂志British Journal of Cancer上发表了一篇研究文章,研究人员旨在评估钙和镁的摄入量与食道癌发生之间的关联。

研究人员对NIH-AARP饮食和健康研究的前瞻性队列进行了回顾性分析,并采用多变量Cox比例风险建模来估计总摄入量与总的以及根据组织学类型(食管鳞状细胞癌(OSCC)和腺癌(OAC))食道癌之间的关联。研究人员进行了敏感性和分层分析。

在536359名受访者中,在650万人次每年的随访期间共出现1414例食道癌患者。与最低四分位数的受访者相比,增加膳食钙摄入量与调整后的OSCC风险降低32-41%相关(趋势p=0.01)。增加镁摄入量和OAC风险之间存在着正相关,但只存在于钙:镁摄入量比值较低的受访者中(趋势p=0.04),并且与吸烟的状态有很大的交互作用。

由此可见,在对NIH-AARP饮食和健康研究的前瞻性队列进行回顾性分析的基础上,饮食中钙和镁摄入量与食道癌发生的风险密切相关。如果经过验证,这些发现可以指导高危人群的饮食改变。
