研究包括了48只小鼠并分成6个小组(每组8只):组A(对照,BALB/c),组B(Der f1敏化BALB/c,25微克),组C(Der f1敏化BALB/c,100微克),组D(对照,C57BL/6),组E(Der f1敏化C57BL/6,25微克)和组F(Der f1敏化C57BL/6,100微克)。研究发现,挠鼻和打喷嚏评分在组B、C、E和F中要比组A和组D显著更高,并且模式相似(比如组B与E,组C与F)。血清免疫球蛋白水平与在组B和组C中与对照组相比显著提高,但在组E和组F中与对照组相比没有差异。与各自对照相比,B、C、E和F组中嗜酸性粒细胞和中性粒细胞浸润在Der f1挑战后增加(p<0.05),而组A与组D、组B与组E,组C与组F两两之间却没有显著差异(p>0.05)。与组E相比,BALB/c小鼠(组B)脾白细胞介素(IL)-4(p<0.01)、IL-5(p<0.01)和IL-6水平(p<0.05)以及鼻IL-4 mRNA水平(p<0.001)均显著升高。有意思的是,100微克Der f1处理要比25微克处理的过敏性反应更弱。

最后,研究人员指出,25微克剂量对于Der f1敏化更合适。BALB/c小鼠的Th2响应更强,因此更适合用于建立过敏性鼻炎小鼠模型。
