匿名评论同行评审网站PubPeer遭起诉

Sarkar的律师称，他从密西西比大学获得了一份年薪35万美元的终身职位，但在任命生效前他收到了撤销offer的通知。律师称原因就是PubPeer上的评论。Sarkar已经从Wayne州立大学辞职，大学允许他保留职位但取消了终身教职。律师说，这件事对Sarkar的职业生涯造成了毁灭性的影响。

Sarkar怀疑匿名留言者可能有他的同事，他想找出他们的身份然后起诉他们。PubPeer认为，研究人员应该首先为自己辩护而不是威胁采取法律行动。律师表示其客户没有责任回应匿名批评。

PubPeer在研究者中占有重要地位。此前震惊学界的STAP细胞论文造假事件最初就在这家网站得到首次质疑。
